Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced senior nurse to join our team as a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse on the Frailty Unit at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and support to staff providing care to patients within a designated ward or department.
  • Ensure the highest possible quality of care is delivered within the ward, meeting the expectations of individual patients.
  • Monitor, audit, and review care standards to ensure the ward is functioning at a high standard.
  • Support the ward team to deliver high standards of care.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (Valid with NMC)
  • Degree in Nursing Studies
  • Completed the national PEAP programme for practice supervisors or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification
  • Extensive post-registration experience
  • Experience at band 6 or above in Geriatric and Stroke Medicine
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Commitment to work within the Clinical Governance Framework
