Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team on the Cystic Fibrosis Unit. Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring individual patient needs are assessed, care planned, implemented, and evaluated regularly.
  • Leading and developing a professional team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Contributing to the overall success of our unit, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve our goals.
  • Ensuring effective discharge procedures are planned and actioned, ensuring patients are discharged safely and in a timely manner.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will possess:

  • First-level registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Extensive post-registration experience, with a strong background in respiratory medicine.
  • Relevant experience at Junior Sister/Charge Nurse level, with a proven track record of leadership and team development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to form positive relationships at all levels.
  • Good understanding of the national strategic context of the NHS, with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
