Papermill Operative Job Description

The Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled and dynamic individual to join our Manufacturing team in Leicester. As a Papermill Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our paper production facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Move wrapped and labelled Parent Reels from the end of the paper machine to the Warehouse in compliance with working instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Prepare, move and place Parent Reels from the end of the paper machine to the wrapper if required by the site layout.
  • Weight, wrap and label reels if necessary.
  • Record details in the stock management system if required.
  • Apply stickers in line with quality procedures.
  • Operate Forklifts and Clamp trucks safely, complete daily checks and report faults.
  • Operate other necessary equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
  • Maintain equipment to guarantee daily functioning in line with work instructions.
  • Assist with the operation and cleaning of the paper machine when available, including all tasks where trained.
  • Comply with all defined standards for quality, environment and Health and Safety.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping of the working area throughout the shift.
  • Ensure Health and Safety rules are adhered to.
Requirements:
  • FLT licence.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
