About the Job

We are seeking a skilled IT Security Auditor to join our team at Darktrace Ltd. As a Penetration Tester, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and reporting on vulnerabilities in our systems and services.

Compensation Package

The successful candidate can expect a salary of £75,000 - £90,000 per annum, plus a comprehensive benefits package including 23 days' holiday + all public holidays, rising to 25 days after 2 years of service, private medical insurance, life insurance, salary sacrifice pension scheme, enhanced family leave, confidential Employee Assistance Program, and cycle to work scheme.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves:

  • Conducting thorough security audits against targets to identify, assess, and report on vulnerabilities,
  • Collaborating with other teams to understand penetration test requirements and deliver high-quality reporting,
  • Contributing to the development of new processes and policies for improving our internal tooling arsenal,
  • Tracking vulnerability findings once reported with attributed severity scores.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with penetration testing stages, methodologies, and tools,
  • Knowledge of common vulnerabilities and attack vectors,
  • Some experience or exposure to scripting (Bash or Python preferable),
  • Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, LPT, GPEN, CompTIA PenTest+ are desirable but not essential,
  • A curious candidate with strong written and spoken communication, analysis, problem-solving, and reporting skills,
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
