About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team in the Womens Outpatient Department at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective running of clinics.

Responsibilities will include ordering of supplies, stock management, cleanliness of the area and equipment, allocation of appointments as directed by midwifery / nursing staff, inputting information into electronic systems and patient records.

You will assist our Midwifery, Nursing and Obstetric/Gynaecology medical colleagues to provide a range of high quality, sensitive, compassionate and efficient Outpatient Maternity and Gynaecology services. You will also undertake some independent clinical skills and duties following established guidelines and processes.

The role is extremely varied, and you will need to be versatile and able to 'multi task'. You will need to have good IT and literacy skills and excellent communication skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy and resilience during difficult and challenging situations.

You will be supported in receiving any information/ training required to carry out this interesting and varied role.
