Job Description

A dynamic and supportive role has become available at GSL Education, working in partnership with a well-resourced primary school in Sheffield.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide academic support to students in a primary school setting, promoting their learning and development.
  • To assist teachers in delivering lessons, contributing to the creation of an inclusive and positive learning environment.
About You:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who can demonstrate strong behaviour management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a passion for education.

You will be responsible for supporting students' academic goals, maintaining a safe and respectful classroom atmosphere, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve outstanding educational outcomes.

Requirements:
  • A qualified Teaching Assistant with relevant qualifications and experience working with primary school-aged children.
  • Experience working in a primary school setting within the last two years is preferred.
  • Strong behaviour management skills to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with all individuals, including pupils, colleagues, and parents.
What We Offer:

A competitive salary, paid on a daily basis, ranging from £95 to £105 per day, reflecting the teacher's level of experience and qualifications.

This role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS on the update service or completing an application for a new check.
