We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Specialist to work with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural needs in a supportive secondary school.

This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' educational and social development through personalised support and effective behaviour management.

About the Role:

  • Provide individualised support to students with ASD, focusing on behaviour management and assisting with academic progress.
  • Implement and adapt strategies outlined in Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to monitor student progress and update support strategies as necessary.
  • Apply Manual Handling or Team Teach training to ensure safe and effective management of challenging behaviours.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with secondary-age students with ASD and behavioural difficulties is essential.
  • Relevant qualifications and current Manual Handling or Team Teach training are required.
  • Strong behaviour management skills with a calm, empathetic approach.

The salary for this role is £95-120 per week, depending on experience. We offer a long-term contract with opportunities for professional growth and development.
