Role Overview
Cambridge City Council is seeking a motivated individual to support the Shopmobility Scheme in Cambridge. The successful candidate will assist in the day-to-day running of the scheme, providing mobility aid loan services to the public.

About the Role
This volunteer opportunity involves taking bookings for equipment, managing customer data, and assessing new customers' needs. You will work closely with colleagues to provide excellent customer service, ensuring that members of the public receive the appropriate mobility aid.

Key Responsibilities
- Take bookings for equipment face-to-face or via phone/email
- Input customer data accurately and efficiently
- Assess new customers' needs and provide suitable mobility aids

Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic IT skills, including data entry and software proficiency
- Strong problem-solving skills and good time management

Working Hours
The successful candidate will be required to work approximately 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9:30 am - 6:30 pm) and Saturday (9:30 am - 7:00 pm), with flexibility to work additional hours as needed. This role is ideal for someone looking to make a positive impact in their community while developing valuable skills and experience.

Compensation
The estimated hourly wage for this role is £12-£14 per hour, based on industry standards and the location. This translates to an estimated annual salary of £24,960-£28,800.
