Senior Electrical Technical Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Technical Manager to join our UK MEICA team at Laing O'Rourke. This role will be part of the MEICA Systems Engineering & Assurance Team, responsible for ensuring technical excellence, assurance, and performance across all our projects in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the MEICA System Engineering and Assurance Team to deliver technical excellence and assurance across projects.
  • Liaise with procurement clusters leads and the company's preferred and approved supply chain to ensure robust 'Standard Equipment and Minimum Requirements Specifications'.
  • Establish, refresh, and maintain company 'Inspection and Testing Procedures' (ITPs) to ensure compliance with contractual and statutory requirements.
  • Support the Chief Electrical Engineer in conducting technical audits/peer reviews on projects to ensure technical compliance.
  • Author Technical Guidance Notes or Technical Bulletins to capture and share technical lessons learnt across projects.
  • Work with the company's training department to provide relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training to develop staff.
  • Support project teams with technical issues during bid, pre-construction, and construction stages.
  • Upskill staff and develop the supply chain and 'Standard Equipment and Minimum Requirements Specifications' for infrastructure type projects.

This role will involve regular travel to projects across the UK. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and extensive experience managing the design of construction or building services projects.
