About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction and Projects Lawyer to join our team at BCL Legal In-House. As an In-House Construction Solicitor, you will play a key role in supporting our client, a leading civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering company, in delivering complex infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the company and internal stakeholders on construction, civil engineering, and infrastructure matters
  • Negotiate and draft standard form and bespoke construction contracts
  • Handle subcontract agreements and novation agreements
  • Provide ad hoc advice on construction and engineering projects

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have at least 3 years' PQE of working on construction and engineering projects. You should have experience of NEC 3 and 4 contracts or JCT experience and be willing to develop knowledge of NEC contracts. A willingness to learn, contribute, and operate commercially as a legal business partner is essential.
