Construction Lawyer Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Construction Lawyer to join our highly regarded Construction team at Office Collective in Manchester City Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-driven lawyer with experience in both non-contentious and contentious construction law to advance their career within the construction and engineering sectors.

About the Role:

This is an opportunity to work on a broad range of projects in the construction and engineering fields across the UK. The successful candidate will join a supportive and collaborative environment, where full backing is provided to help you grow as a lawyer and achieve your career goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise clients on both non-contentious and contentious construction law matters.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts with a keen attention to detail.
  • Offer practical, commercially-focused advice that is easily understood by lay clients.
  • Manage and nurture client relationships.
  • Support and mentor junior team members.
  • Drive business development, including cross-selling to other legal teams within the firm.
Key Requirements:
  • Experience in construction law (ideally non-contentious, with some contentious work involvement).
  • Knowledge of key areas of the law, including the standard forms of Building Contracts.
  • Ability to provide clear, practical commercial advice.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop client relationships.
  • Ambition, with a focus on personal growth and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in mentoring or managing junior fee earners.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to offer commercially-focused legal advice.
