About Our School

We are a thriving independent primary school located in Wandsworth, seeking a talented Year 5 teacher to join our team from January 2025. As a dedicated educator, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our students.

Job Description

As a Year 5 teacher, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality curriculum while fostering a love of learning and supporting each child's individual needs. This is a temporary role covering the spring and summer terms, with the possibility of a permanent position following the summer break.

Responsibilities

  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  2. Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  3. Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes curiosity and confidence.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  5. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress.

About You

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching Year 5 in a primary school setting.
  • A passionate, creative, and engaging approach to teaching.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to nurturing and developing each child's potential.
  • Ability to work well within a supportive team.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
