About the RoleThe Environmental Health and Safer Housing Team at Nottingham City Council is seeking a talented Compliance Officer to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for inspecting properties, recording information, and providing advice to tenants and landlords.
- Inspecting a wide range of properties on-site and undertaking desk-based work in a hybrid working environment.
- Recording and updating key information on software systems.
- Utilizing legislation to undertake legal notices that improve housing conditions.
- Providing expert advice to tenants and landlords with an opportunity to make a positive impact in the community.
- Opportunities to tackle prevalent issues such as damp and mould in homes or fire safety.
We are committed to improving the private rented sector in Nottingham through our three licensing schemes. Our goal is to reduce anti-social behaviour and drive up housing conditions.
As a Compliance Officer, you will receive extensive training and opportunities for growth and development within a supportive team environment.
RequirementsWe are looking for someone with strong communication skills, ability to assess risk, and sound practical knowledge of housing construction.
