Job Overview

About the Role

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Building Control service, ensuring compliance with Building Safety Regulator standards, Local Authority Building Control Quality Management Systems, and relevant legislation.
  • They will also supervise and provide technical support to building inspectors, ensuring only registered competent individuals undertake restricted activities.
  • In addition, they will continuously monitor and report on performance against agreed targets, develop and implement a performance framework for measurable customer improvements, and ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation and Council policies.

Requirements

  • A qualification with the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) is essential.
  • Proven experience in managing Building Control services, budget management, and legislative compliance is required.
  • A current driving licence is necessary for this role.

Estimated Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annum

Location: Northamptonshire
