About the Role

Service Care Solutions is partnering with a forward-thinking local authority in London to find an exceptional Director of Law and Governance. This role offers the opportunity to lead the council's legal team and drive continuous improvement of their plans.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide effective leadership that drives strategic planning and implementation.
  2. Act as Deputy Monitoring Officer, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  3. Collaborate with the Chief Solicitor at a neighboring council to promote cohesive leadership across the Bi-Borough Legal service.
Requirements
  • A proven ability to balance strategic vision with operational management.
  • A qualified solicitor with experience in senior leadership roles, including serving as a Monitoring Officer.
  • Possesses political sensitivity and a commitment to local democracy and accountability.

Location and Salary
