About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Grade 10 Community Occupational Therapist. This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career and be part of a supportive and friendly team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work closely with our Practice Manager OT and Team of dedicated OT staff in the East of the Council. Key responsibilities include offering support, assistance, advice, and supervision on a regular basis, covering for the Practice manager OT when necessary, and holding a small complex case load. You will also assist newly qualified OTs in their development and practice.

What We're Looking For
  • An enthusiastic and well-rounded HCPC registered Occupational Therapist who is keen to develop and learn new management skills.
  • A self-motivated individual with good communication skills and the ability to learn, work, and develop autonomously within the occupational therapy service, with good organisational skills.
  • A candidate who can provide a client-centred approach to care and demonstrate sound clinical knowledge in evidence-based assessment and management of a variety of conditions.
  • The post holder will need to work within the Council's policies and professional practice, maintaining accurate and comprehensive client documentation.
About Cheshire East Council

Salary and Benefits

This is a permanent position with a salary range of £39,186 - £45,291 per annum, plus benefits. The post holder will be based at Macclesfield Town Hall, but may be required to travel to other bases in Wilmslow, Poynton, and Knutsford.
