About the Role

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Level 3 Teaching Assistants, providing SEND support to students across our schools in Newcastle. If you have a passion for supporting young people with barriers to learning and relevant experience or a relevant degree, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or as classroom support throughout the day
  • Managing behaviour, supporting completion of assigned work, and helping students socialise and overcome social barriers
  • In some schools, there may be an element of care due to children having profound and multiple learning difficulties

Requirements:

  • Background in education or a passion and willingness to learn
  • Experience working with children, either personally or professionally
  • Experience managing challenging behaviour
  • Flexibility to travel to different school settings
  • Background in care is also preferable, but not required
