Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team at an Ofsted-rated 'Good' school in Newcastle.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work alongside a hardworking and welcoming team to provide support to students with diverse learning needs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with teachers and other teaching assistants to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Providing one-on-one and small group support to students.
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.
  • Creating and adapting learning resources to meet individual student needs.
  • Fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Monitoring and tracking student progress, reporting findings to teachers and parents.
  • Participating in meetings and training sessions as required.
Requirements:

We are looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant who:

  • Has a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in an educational setting.
  • Has strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Is patient, empathetic, and passionate about working with children.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team.
  • Has knowledge of educational policies and practices.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
