POSITION OVERVIEW

This is an exciting opportunity to join DiverseJobsMatter as a Senior Data Scientist. As a key member of our Data Services team, you will collaborate with colleagues to lead data science initiatives and drive business growth through data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and deployment of machine learning models and AI projects.
  • Promote data-driven decision-making throughout the business and inspire teams to leverage data science.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest data science and machine learning technologies to integrate innovative tools and techniques into our data environment.
  • Lead on the development of next-generation machine learning initiatives, serving as the main point of contact for data science technologies.
  • Utilize large language models to develop innovative solutions.
  • Encourage continuous learning and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable professional experience working within data science and data analysis.
  • High-level knowledge of Python/Scala and SQL, plus over 3 years' experience in developing machine learning models.
  • Knowledge and experience of data science libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn, TensorFlow, Torch, pySpark ML, MLFlow, or other model lifecycle management tools.
  • Experience in developing ML models and understanding key concepts including regression, clustering, classification, and architectures such as neural networks.
  • Interpreting results and communicating them effectively to stakeholders.
  • Experience of data visualisation packages such as Power BI/Tableau.
  • Experience of utilising large and complex data sets.

Desirable:

  • Experience in using Databricks.
  • Experience using Apache Spark/pySpark.
  • Experience in utilising Generative AI models and LLMs as well as repositories such as Hugging Face.
