Wastewater Modelling and Planning Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Modelling and Planning Expert to join our team in the North West region. As a Hydraulic Modeller and Catchment Planner, you will play a key role in supporting the improvement of river health across the Northwest of England.
Our client, a leading water industry company, has recently won a major framework contract to deliver a range of long-term programmes across the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join a dynamic team and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for the water industry.
About the Team:Our Water Consulting team consists of experienced professionals who provide Asset Management and Operational Strategy development to our water industry clients. We are a collaborative and innovative team that values expertise, creativity, and teamwork.
We work closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions that meet their business objectives. Our team has a broad portfolio of long-term framework agreements in place, providing a stable and secure environment for our employees to grow and develop their careers.
About You:To be successful in this role, you will need to have prior experience with projects in urban drainage settings, along with proficiency in InfoWorks ICM and relevant GIS software. You will also have the opportunity to cultivate your skills as a mentor and offer technical guidance to other modelling personnel.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering feasibility studies, model use studies, optioneering, and development assessments for wastewater networks.
- Ensuring the quality of modelling outputs and compliance with standards, specifications, and governance requirements.
- Project management of small projects.
- Operating in accordance with corporate health and safety, environmental, and quality standards.
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
- Relevant experience in modelling, either in a consultancy or water company setting.
- Proficiency in Excel and Visual Basic.
- Proficient in modelling software using InfoWorks ICM and associated bolt-on packages.
- Working knowledge of GIS Systems (preferably MapInfo, ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Demonstrable experience in discipline-specific data analysis packages, which may be water-focused such as InfoWorks or InfoAsset.
- General understanding of the UK water industry.
