Job Title: Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at beBee Professionals in High Peak, United Kingdom.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene, and leading a team of culinary professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring smooth operation during service.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Help train and develop junior kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies, ensuring efficient kitchen operations.
  • Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, with a strong track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene, with a focus on maintaining high standards.
  • Creativity and passion for cooking with fresh, high-quality ingredients, with a focus on menu planning and food preparation.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a high-pressure environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred), with a focus on maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene.
