Job Title: General Practitioner, Military Medical Examiner

Job Summary:

Pertemps Medical is seeking a General Practitioner to join our team as a Military Medical Examiner. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for conducting medical assessments on behalf of the Ministry of Defence for new recruits to the Royal Navy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough medical assessments to determine the fitness of candidates for the Royal Navy
  • Review primary care notes and optician reports to identify any conditions that may impact a candidate's ability to safely perform their role
  • Collaborate with senior Naval clinicians to discuss and determine the final outcome of medical assessments
  • Provide training and support to clinicians on the medical assessment process
  • Ensure the highest standards of medical practice are maintained and patient and candidate welfare is safeguarded

Requirements:

  • Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) / Post CCT
  • Full Registration with the GMC and record of Continuous Professional Development
  • Good organisational and communication skills
