About the Role:

  • This is a senior care role that requires a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
  • As a Lead Care and Support Practitioner, you will be responsible for carrying out tasks to give residents quality care and support.
  • You will lead a team of carers, take responsibility for resident medication, wound management, continence, physiological assessment and care planning under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake senior care responsibilities, including leadership and management of care staff.
  • Demonstrate passion for delivering exceptional care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Support a nursing team with medication, assessments, care planning, and implementation.
  • Attend regular training sessions, both on and off site, to develop new skills and enhance knowledge.
  • Engage with the training programme to gain confidence in new skills and take ownership of personal development.

Requirements:

  • 2 years' experience in a care setting, preferably in a senior or leadership role.
  • NVQ level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (or equivalent) and relevant certifications.
  • GCSE maths and English grade C or above, demonstrating strong academic ability.

Salary and Benefits:

  • The salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
