London, Greater London, United Kingdom Gambit Search Full time

We are excited to partner with an innovative Insurtech business in their search for a skilled Risk Associate to join their credit risk team.

Gambit Search is proud to introduce you to this exceptional opportunity, where you will play a pivotal role in assessing underlying credit risks and determining which loans to acquire from lenders. Our client aims to bridge the gap between lenders and the insurance ecosystem, leveraging their expertise to de-risk loan books and provide tailored solutions to banking clients.

The Role:

As a Risk Associate, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of financial statements, bank memos, management accounts, and cash flow statements to evaluate corporate risks. Your findings will inform decisions on whether to acquire banks' loans, requiring a keen eye for detail and commercial acumen.

You will report directly to one of the Partners, contributing to the growth of their single situation book: an individual inquiry focused on a specific borrower. This role demands strong analytical and relationship-building skills, as you will engage with key brokers and clients to establish long-term business partnerships and secure future opportunities.

With occasional bi-monthly travel to meet clients across Europe and the US, you will have the chance to develop your professional network and expand your industry knowledge. To succeed in this position, you should possess:

- ACA qualification or equivalent

- 1-2 years of post-qualified experience in audit, transactions, M&A, or restructuring

- Entrepreneurial mindset, keen attention to detail, and a passion for finance

- Proficiency in MS Office and basic programming language knowledge

If you are drawn to the prospect of combining your credit insurance expertise with cutting-edge technological advancements, we invite you to explore this exciting opportunity further.
