Local Booking Coordinator

Our Mission
We create space where music matters. There's no other feeling like discovering and experiencing new music and artists. In any Sofar room, when the audience is hushed and that first note is played, it's magical.
The Role
As part of Sofar's Innovation work, we're piloting a role called Local Booker (Casual) where you'll support our host and artist community. Your primary focus will be finding and securing venues and hosts in your city.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and secure venues and hosts in your city
- Conduct regular venue site visits
- Act as main point of contact for on-the-ground artist logistics
- Work with our Regional team to manage on-the-ground and day-of-show logistics
- Curate compelling lineups with our Artist Development team
- Extend offers to local artists and manage communications regarding artist scheduling and booking
- Update and maintain artist records
- Review incoming artist applications and discover emerging talent
Requirements
We're looking for existing Sofar Crew who bring the following to the pilot:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- An eye for a great space that could host a Sofar show
- A driving passion to support local musicians and bring people together
- Comfortable working autonomously and collaborating with a diverse team
- Knowledge of the local music scene and connections to the community
- A sincere and empathetic approach to leadership
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work flexible hours
