Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant. As a key member of our education team, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to take on additional responsibilities and make a significant impact on the educational experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring the continued progress and engagement of students.
  • Provide targeted support to individuals and groups of students, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Contribute to the planning and development of curriculum activities, working closely with teachers and school leaders.
  • Assist in the assessment of student progress, providing valuable insights and feedback to contribute to ongoing improvement.
  • Implement positive behaviour management strategies, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, staying informed about best practices and educational innovations.

Requirements:

  • Qualified as HLTA or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, with a demonstrated ability to lead lessons and support diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Initiative, adaptability, and a genuine passion for contributing to the educational success of students.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or a related field.
