Nursery Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team at GSL Education. As a key member of our nursery staff, you will play a crucial role in supporting the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the nursery staff in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years.
  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where children can learn and thrive.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, toileting, and outdoor play, ensuring the well-being and happiness of all children.
  • Contribute to observations and assessments of children's development, helping to monitor progress and plan next steps.
Requirements:
  • Level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent is desirable.
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and caring approach to working with children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality care and education.
