Job Description
  • Create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs, incorporating hands-on activities, group work, and individual projects.
  • Deliver effective teaching methods, utilizing demonstrations, experiments, and practical exercises to promote student understanding of physics, chemistry, and biology.
  • Foster a positive learning environment, encouraging students to question, investigate, and develop their scientific knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records, set homework, conduct assessments, and provide constructive feedback to support student progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach science lessons at an appropriate level, ensuring all pupils understand and engage with complex concepts.
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues, and parents to ensure seamless collaboration and information exchange.
  • Adapt teaching approaches and materials according to pupils' abilities, promoting inclusivity and accessibility.

Requirements:

  • Holds outstanding knowledge of science as a National Curriculum subject, covering core disciplines of physics, chemistry, and biology.
  • Able to plan and design interesting lessons and projects using various teaching methods.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Enthusiasm to motivate pupils to enjoy the subject, work hard, and do their best in science.
  • Good communication skills to engage with pupils.
  • Able to inspire a positive attitude in pupils and colleagues.
  • Patient when dealing with various situations.
  • Dedicated to providing an optimum learning environment.
  • Committed to providing a safe school environment.
  • Competent in using computer systems and software packages, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Classrooms.
  • Holds a QTS.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum.
