Job Overview: We are seeking experienced and passionate Support Workers to join our team at secondary schools in Harlow. The successful candidate will provide targeted support to students with SEND, particularly in Science lessons, and work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure that students receive the best possible support and make good progress in their learning.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the importance of meeting individual needs and have the energy and drive to become an integral part of the school lives of our young people. While experience is preferred, full training will be given to the right candidate. We can offer an immediate start or a negotiated start date.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting students with SEND and wants to make a real difference in their lives. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of students and develop your skills and experience as a Support Worker.

  • Work with students with SEND to provide targeted support and achieve their educational goals.
Key Requirements:
  • Strong Understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection Policies and Procedures.
  • Ability to Work Flexibly and Provide Targeted Support to Students with SEND.
  • Experience of Working with Students with Additional Needs.
  • Knowledge of British Sign Language (BSL) and Makaton.

Please note that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that the successful applicant must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
