Automation Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Automation Maintenance Technician to join our team at Royal Mail Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of automation assets through effective maintenance procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform maintenance tasks, including preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance
- Conduct continuous improvement activities to enhance automation outputs
- Provide support to the Engineering Manager, Maintenance Team Leader, and Engineering Team Coaches
- Identify root causes of automation breakdowns and prioritize corrective actions
- Monitor equipment performance and collaborate with operational stakeholders to improve automation outputs
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement projects, from conception to implementation
We are looking for an experienced multi-skilled engineer with a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering. You should have a minimum of ONC Electrical Engineering or NVQ Level 3, or equivalent. Additionally, you should have first-hand experience in maintaining automation equipment, preferably Programme Logic Controllers (PLC), and a flexible approach to work.
