Job Title: Kubernetes Administrator

Job Type: Contract

Location: Remote (1 day per month on-site in Preston)

Salary: £72.57 Per Hour (Umbrella Rate - Inside IR35)

The Role

As a Kubernetes Administrator, you will be responsible for standing up and installing an on-premise Kubernetes environment to an agreed design. You will create the container infrastructure platform for the company, improve the monitoring and alert system, and develop and maintain systems configuration item (CI) baselines in alignment with the Service Management Configuration Management Plan.

You will also assist in work within the area of specialism, taking account of interfaces and approved data. You will provide analysis and support of problems related to platform and support system issues and generate proposed solutions.

Additionally, you will support the development of processes to ensure discipline technical quality is communicated across all discipline levels of IM&T engineers, ensuring these meet all governance and business requirements.

Key responsibilities include researching problems and issues, gathering information from a range of physical and informational sources, reviewing defects on platform or assembly to gain a complete understanding of the problem, and engaging with customer representatives and suppliers in writing, by telephone, and in face-to-face meetings.

The Candidate

We are seeking a candidate with experience in the installation of Kubernetes environments, administration, and support aspects of multiple Kubernetes environments. You should have experience in sharing knowledge through a team to better deploy technologies and have documentation skills to ensure build documents are up-to-date.
