Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Recruit4staff is proud to be representing a leading energy company in their search for a skilled Field Service Engineer to cover the Birmingham and Rugby area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial batteries, chargers, and associated equipment for load handling equipment such as forklifts.
  • Carry out maintenance and repairs on equipment at customer sites.
  • Liaise closely with key accounts to perform repairs and services as required.
  • Conduct battery topping, cleaning, and maintenance on customer premises.
  • Provide shift cover for sickness and holiday support.
  • Submit job sheets and reports to head office on a weekly basis.
  • Work closely with the service department to plan and schedule jobs and prioritize urgent callouts.

Requirements:

  • Formal qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline is essential.
  • Experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
  • Knowledge of forklift batteries and chargers would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Full UK driving license is essential.

Location:

The successful candidate will be based in the Birmingham and Rugby area and will be required to travel to customer sites.
