About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Mobile Customer Services Assistant. As a key member of our library services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our customers across Uttlesford and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers in a variety of settings, including libraries and community events.
  • Assist customers with book circulation and issuing, as well as signposting them to other library services and Council services.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of customer-focused initiatives and projects.
  • Provide administrative support to the team, including data entry and record-keeping.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic IT skills, including experience with self-service equipment.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and occasional evenings.
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
