At Leonardo, we are seeking a talented Graduate Manufacturing Engineer to join our Mechanical Assembly Process Engineering team in Southampton. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the manufacture of infra-red detector assemblies.

Your primary responsibilities will include training operatives to perform processes correctly, monitoring yields, defects & process times, investigating defects (DFRs) and yield issues relating to manufacturing processes, defining and carrying out re-work processes where required, and suggesting and implementing process improvements in areas of responsibility.

As a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer, you will also be responsible for writing process instructions, monitoring the performance of equipment including SPC, running new capital equipment projects, conducting root cause analysis, and providing input to new product introduction initiatives.

Over time, there will be opportunities for development within the group dependant on performance, skillset, and areas of interest. You will engage with challenging project work and deliver innovative business or technical solutions as part of a team of subject matter experts.

The salary for this position is approximately £33,000 per annum, plus a welcome bonus and Temporary Accommodation Allowance if applicable. In addition, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including a company-funded pension scheme, flexible working options, and employee assistance programs.
