Vanrath is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Engineer to join our team. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for promoting and developing sales of our company's capital equipment and consumable products to customers in the manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Representing the company and promoting, developing, and concluding sales of our capital equipment and consumable products.
- Primary focus on sales of conventional metal cutting and metal forming machine tools, consumable products, and accessories.
- Secondary focus on obtaining enquiries for high-end CNC fabrication equipment and passing these enquiries to our General Manager.
- Third focus on obtaining enquiries for CNC metal cutting equipment and passing these enquiries to our CNC Metal Cutting Sales Representative.
- Carrying out monthly bandsaw blade counts at customer premises to restock.
- Growing our market share in bandsaw blades and identifying new opportunities.
- Working with the General Manager to achieve and exceed sales targets set.
- Approaching and engaging with existing and new customers to follow up existing leads, generate new leads, and market our products.
- Prospecting for new leads, delivering effective proposals, and closing sales projects.
- Visiting existing and new customers throughout NI to maintain relationships and establish new relationships.
- Managing and interpreting customer requirements, issuing quotations, following up, negotiating, and closing sales.
- Updating customer information and sales leads in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Meeting regular sales targets within specified product ranges.
- Attending weekly meetings and reporting activity.
- Supporting marketing through email, print, and other digital means.
- Assisting in the running of 'Openhouse' events in the company premises.
- Attendance at overseas Trade shows, factory tours, and events as customer liaison or for training and professional development.
- Background in toolmaking and/or use of CNC Machine Tool equipment and/or a degree in engineering or business combined with a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Factories/engineering background seeking to move into sales or coming with sales experience.
- Direct Capital Sales experience or a combination of having worked in a machine tool production environment and possessing a strong interest in moving into a capital sales role.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, a strong work ethic with problem-solving skills.
