Job Title: CNC Sales Engineer

VanRath has partnered with a leading supplier of high-quality CNC and conventional machine tools and accessories provider, serving the manufacturing industry throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced CNC Sales Engineer to join our team. As a CNC Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for representing the company and promoting, developing, and concluding sales of the company's capital equipment and consumable products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent the company and promote, develop, and conclude sales of the company's capital equipment and consumable products.
  • Primary focus on sales will be the company's conventional metal cutting and metal forming machine tools, and company consumable and accessory products.
  • Secondary focus on obtaining enquiries for high-end CNC fabrication equipment and passing these enquiries to our General Manager.
  • Third focus on obtaining enquiries for CNC metal cutting equipment and passing these enquiries to our CNC Metal Cutting Sales Representative.
  • Work with the General Manager to achieve and exceed sales targets set.
  • Approach and engage with existing and new customers, follow up existing leads, generate new leads, and market our products to exceed sales and revenue targets.
  • Visit existing and new customers throughout NI to maintain relationships and establish new relationships, generating sales leads for the complete range of machine tools provided by the company.
  • Issue quotations, follow up, negotiate, and close sales with support from GM and internal team.
  • Update customer information and sales leads in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Meet regular sales targets within specified product ranges.
  • Attend weekly meetings and report activity (visits/leads/sales, etc).
  • Support marketing through email, print, and other digital means.
  • Attend overseas Trade shows/factory tours/events as customer liaison or for training/professional development.
Requirements:
  • Background in toolmaking and/or use of CNC Machine Tool equipment and/or a degree in engineering or business combined with a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Factories/engineering background seeking to move into sales or coming with sales experience.
  • Direct Capital Sales experience or a combination of having worked in a machine tool production environment and possessing a strong interest in moving into a capital sales role.
  • Engineering and business software knowledge.
  • Analysis skills and technical understanding.
