The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Health and Safety expert to join our team as our Head of Environment, Health & Safety. You will be responsible for delivering a compelling HSE vision, strategy and annual plan that aligns with our company goals.

You will implement an HSE management system that ensures we meet all statutory requirements, chair the COOK HSE steering meeting to ensure progress against delivery of HSE strategy, and proactively engage with Operations and Retail leadership teams to ensure HSE objectives are fully reflected and owned within departmental and team strategies and plans.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement review and control processes that deliver ongoing performance monitoring and enable decision making and resource allocation that improve standards and reduce risk.
  • Advise on competence and training requirements to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Co-ordinate and guide managers with liability and claims management.
  • Support the proactive management of relationships with the Health and Safety Executive and other authorities.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need a NEBOSH Diploma or Degree in a relevant subject, proven experience in a senior HSE role within a manufacturing environment, preferably within the food industry. You should also have ongoing professional development and strong knowledge of industry and regulatory developments.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
