Finance Assistant

Aila Recruitment is partnering with a leading business to recruit a Finance Assistant on a permanent basis. This company has been at the forefront of its industry for over 25 years, with a strong backing from Global owners committed to scaling the UK business.

About the Role

We are seeking an energetic and aspiring Accounts Assistant who is eager to learn within a collaborative finance team. This opportunity will provide a broad range of exposure from general finance administration to daily bank reconciliations and managing supplier queries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy.
  • Manage company expense systems and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide support towards month-end tasks, including reviewing actual performance and making journals to ensure correct accounting policies.
  • Analyse and challenge costs to ensure value-added.
  • Deal with maintenance of supplier ledgers and associated queries.
  • Assist with accounts receivable tasks as required due to workload or holiday within the team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess some exposure within a similar role, but above all, must possess the mindset and aptitude to learn in a role that can provide you with a great deal of exposure to develop on your existing skillset. You will be keen to pursue (if not already) AAT and will receive the support required to achieve this alongside gaining hands-on experience within the role.
