About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of vascular research projects, providing outstanding leadership and line management of the clinical research team in the delivery of high-quality research. The role requires sound knowledge of research and patient pathways within the vascular specialty to support the team in growing and delivering the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of vascular research projects
- Provide outstanding leadership and line management of the clinical research team
- Work collaboratively with the clinical trials team and the wider multidisciplinary team in the management of research patients
- Develop and implement the clinical research portfolio that reflects the patient population, the work and interests of the local clinical teams
- Provide expert support to colleagues and staff through the research study process
- NMC registration
- Evidence of ongoing personal and professional development
- Project management qualification or experience
- Master's Degree or equivalent clinical experience
- Relevant clinical and research experience at Band 6 in vascular sciences
- Understanding of National Institute of Health Research (NIHR), its values, aims and structure
- Proven clinical research experience & knowledge in Research Governance Framework and ICH GCP
- Experience of supervision and line management of staff
- Flexible in their attitudes and behaviours to support team working and delivery of objectives
- Knowledge and experience In leg ulcer management and compression bandaging
