We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Turning Point. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities across England.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote the independence of the people we support
- Support a full range of daily activities, including cleaning and cooking, days out, and holidays
- Arrange activities in the home and in the local community
- Develop residents' life skills and personal interests
- Help residents stay safe and healthy
- Assist with personal care needs
- Manual handling
- Support people with medication
- Ensure record keeping is maintained to the required standard at all times and contribute to service monitoring requirements
Requirements
- Passionate, caring, and enthusiastic
- Flexible, patient, and non-judgmental
- A great team player with lots of energy
- Able to demonstrate good communication skills
- Able to complete the physical aspects of the role, such as manual handling, where needed
