About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join our Small Business Loans team at the British Business Bank. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in building a detailed understanding of our business through performing analytics across all the Credit life cycle.

Your primary responsibilities will include supporting the creation and delivery of credit risk and fraud models, devising model strategies for credit assessment, and balancing risk and business targets. You will also be responsible for the team's input to IFRS9 accounting standards, investigating issues, and maintaining data.

In addition, you will be responsible for collecting, validating, cleansing, and transforming data, gathering requirements, identifying and analysing data sets, and translating them into bespoke and compelling data-driven reporting. You will have ownership and responsibility for producing data visualisations via Power BI, which will often contain key department-wide measures, metrics, and KPIs used for decision-making by numerous stakeholders.

To be considered for this role, you must have demonstrable experience querying complex data sets using SQL, designing and developing complex data visualisation and reporting with PowerBI, and a sound technical understanding of database design, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.

You will also have prior experience delivering to a strict production schedule, monitoring and measuring data quality, handling and validating financial data with precision, and understanding data visualisation best practice.
