Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

VANRATH is partnering with a revolutionary infrastructure-focused company that is changing the fiber infrastructure landscape in Northern Ireland. We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing QS/Commercial Assistants, evaluating utilities civils contracts, and preparing weekly progress claims. They will also support the preparation and submission of project variations, review and sign off sub-contractor invoices, and prepare client final accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage QS/Commercial Assistants as the project evolves in size
  • Responsible for evaluations of utilities civils contracts as principle contractor
  • Collect and Review worksheets completed by sub-contractor & employees sent in on weekly basis
  • Preparation and submission of weekly progress claims to client
  • Valuations to be agreed with Client QS representative on a bi-weekly basis
  • Support the preparation and submission of project variations, in line with contract timelines
  • Review and sign off sub-contractor invoices to be passed to accounts for payment
  • Preparation and submission of client Final Accounts
  • Daily liaising with on field supervisors and site teams
  • Meet project deliverables on time and with emphasis on quality
  • Attending and providing commercial input to weekly internal meetings, with emphasis on budget monitoring
Requirements:
  • Significant relevant experience in a similar role
  • Qualified Surveyor qualification preferred, however will consider someone with significant relevant experience within the industry
