Mechanical Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in County Durham. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing conveyor systems, producing technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with specified briefs and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create 3D models and technical drawings in line with company CAD standards.
  • Ensure designs meet project briefs, relevant standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct technical analysis to enhance system functionality and Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA).
  • Carry out site visits to support project delivery.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or in a similar role.
  • At least 4 years of experience in mechanical design.
  • Understanding of the design process and its documentation.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and mechanical design principles.
  • Skilled in 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred).
  • Awareness of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA).
  • Relevant qualification in design or engineering (HNC, degree, etc.).
