About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple repairs contracts for housing providers across the North East. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing repairs and maintenance contracts, ideally within the social housing or construction sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing the day-to-day delivery of multiple repairs and maintenance contracts across the North East.
  • Ensuring all works are carried out to high standards of quality, safety, and within agreed timeframes and budgets.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with housing providers, acting as their primary point of contact.
  • Leading and coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Managing budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reporting, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting performance targets.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in service delivery, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
About You:

The ideal candidate will be an organised and proactive individual with excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple contracts and build strong client relationships.

Essential Requirements:
  • Previous experience managing contracts within the repairs, maintenance, or housing sectors.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and a commitment to ensuring safe working practices.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a solutions-focused approach to contract management.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the North East region.
