About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Café Manager to join our team at Tesco. As a Café Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our café, including managing a team of colleagues, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the overall running of the café, including routines, processes, sales standards, and changes as necessary.
  • Hold full profit and loss accountability for the café.
  • Maximise sales, impact, and presentation in the café, ensuring everything is safe and legal for customers and colleagues.
  • Lead your team and inspire them to hit sales targets.
  • Understand the key drivers of our service plan and deliver to the standard required.
  • Select, train, and develop team members to enable them to feel proud of the work they do.
  • Act as a café menu expert who can share knowledge with the team.
  • Ensure customers are served quickly and receive high-quality food and drinks in a clean, tidy environment.
Requirements
  • A background in hospitality, at supervisory level and above.
  • A commitment to excellent customer service.
  • People management skills that allow you to lead by example and coach in an inclusive manner.
  • Good planning and organisation skills.
  • Confidence using your initiative to identify opportunities to improve our ways of working or adapt to different situations.
  • Excellent communication skills to motivate and support a growing team.
