Associate Mechanical Engineer - Energy Transition

About RED Engineering Design: As a leading global engineering consultancy, we design state-of-the-art systems in mission-critical buildings. Our Energy Transition team is building a unique set of technical and management skills to deliver Carbon neutral and zero water/waste buildings and processes. We are seeking an experienced and innovative Mechanical Associate to join our UK/Ireland offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a team delivering medium-sized projects and play a key part of a team leading large projects at the design and construction phase.
  • Close liaison with clients, suppliers, and other members of the design team to deliver projects and in a business development role.
  • Play a dominant role in delivering commercial bids to win new work, including compiling teams within RED, the wider ENGIE group, and with external partners.
  • Work closely with our R&D section to bring the right technologies to market for each project.
  • Build client relationships and attend industry events for networking and delivery of presentations.
  • International travel to develop and maintain contact with other offices within the group and attend events and visit clients/partners.

Requirements:

  • Eng/B.Sc degree in engineering.
  • Ability to show sustained activity in continuous professional development, including membership of at least one professional institute pertinent to the energy industry, and corporate membership with preferably Chartered engineering status.
  • Minimum of 7 years working in the built environment and/or energy & utilities sector with significant experience in design and project management activities.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Willingness to travel and work in different environments and under different conditions.
