Marshall is seeking a highly skilled Global Category Manager to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a global category sourcing strategy that drives cost savings, improves quality, and enhances delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor key industry and category cost and risk drivers to inform key bids and projects.
- Develop and maintain a global category sourcing strategy to support current and future opportunities.
- Engage with stakeholders to share global economic indicators that impact Marshall and its supply base.
- Assess potential new suppliers for key categories to deliver better performance and reduce supply risk.
- Support Mark versus Buy decision making and lead annual cost reduction planning and initiatives.
- Work closely with Bid Procurement Managers to ensure the latest pricing from agreed price lists with key suppliers is included in all relevant bids.
- Strong analytical mindset and communication skills.
- Collaborative and strong negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial cost modelling.
- CIPS Certified or degree qualified in business.
