Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to lead our stage operations team at the Liverpool Empire Theatre. As Head of Stage, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of the stage infrastructure, including rigging and flying systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of stage crew and dressers to ensure smooth get-ins, fit-ups, and get-outs for productions
- Work closely with the Technical Manager to develop and implement a robust maintenance plan for the stage infrastructure
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of stage equipment, including rigging and flying systems
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including LOLER and Working at Height
- Collaborate with visiting productions and show management to ensure a seamless experience
Requirements:
- Significant prior experience in a technical theatre setting, with a focus on stage, rigging, and flying systems
- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of leading a team of people
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including LOLER and Working at Height
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with regular evening and weekend work
