Obstetrician Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Obstetrics Consultant to join our team at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
About the RoleThis full-time post will include sessions on Labour ward, including Obstetric on call and Antenatal clinics. You will work closely with our team of 23 Consultant Obstetricians, Gynaecologists, and academic staff to deliver high-quality care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical care to patients on Labour ward and in Antenatal clinics
- Contribute to the development of our services, including the design and implementation of new initiatives
- Participate in formal departmental teaching and training for undergraduate medical students and postgraduate trainees
- Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register from date of interview
- Essential qualifications include MRCOG or equivalent
