About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education Assistant to join our team at a fantastic 'Good' Ofsted rated SEN School in Hampshire. The successful candidate will support pupils with SEMH, providing tailored 1:1 or small-group support to enrich their lives.
Key Responsibilities:- Working with students who have been excluded from mainstream education and require SEMH support
- Providing practical work and creative activities as part of the school's vocational curriculum
- Location: Teaching Assistant role in an SEN setting
- Type of work: Temporary/Permanent contract available
- Full-time/part-time: Full-Time position available
- Minimum rate of pay: £85.00 per day
- Previous teaching experience, preferably in the SEN sector (though not essential)
- Passion for working with children with SEMH and challenging behaviour
- Level 3 Qualifications
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate or willingness to process a new application
- Two professional child-related references
- Award-winning training and development opportunities
